Acne Everywhere

Im an 18 year old male and I have very sensitive skin. It is also oily and I have acne all over my face, a lot on my cheeks. I have some scarring under my ears as well. There is also acne on my back and chest and it's developing on my shoulders. I'm very active and have an extremely healthy diet. I drink tons of water a day and I try my best to keep my skin clean. Iv tried benzoyl peroxide, it didn't help at all and just left my face really red and burnt. None of this is working, please help.

Our reply

Hi, and thanks for your message. I'm so sorry for the painful acne you are experiencing. There are several approaches that you can try, and everyone's body and metabolism is somewhat different so I recommend that you pay attention to your intuition which can be a very helpful guide when you are dealing with skin problems. Our bodies have their own inner wisdom which can often be helpful in guiding us towards solutions.

  1. First, you probably already know this, but if you haven't done this yet, it will be helpful to get a medical exam to determine if there is some kind of underlying health challenge that may be contributing to the acne.

Medical science has some treatments for acne symptoms, and some of these may be
helpful to you, but they do not address the underlying cause of what is causing the acne.

Like you said, some of the treatments may actually be more irritating. For example benzoyl peroxide is a common treatment which works for some people, however can be very irritating to sensitive skin.

  2. Secondly, you can read through our Acne Sensitive Skin Treatment section and the Related Articles (on the right of that page) which contains a lot of useful self help information which may help you to begin to find a solution.

One of the best and most popular self help resources on our site is the ***z-clickbank-acnenomore.shtml*** holistic acne treatment program. This includes a professionally customized nutritional consultation and detailed instructions that provide great results for many people. It is very affordable and they guarantee results, although it does require daily effort and attention and lifestyle modifications.

  3. If medical or self help approaches do not help, I recommend that you consult with a qualified Naturopathic Doctor or Acupuncturist or Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. These treatments have shown excellent promise in treating acne and chronic skin conditions that have not responded to medical treatments. Be sure to get a referral from someone you trust, and check the license and credentials of the practitioners.

Thank you very much for your message. I hope these suggestions can be helpful to you in finding a solution to your acne.
