Did you know that an estimated 14 million Americans suffer from rosacea? Did you also know that the majority of treatment methods available contain harmful ingredients that could potentially lead to further problems in the future?

Well if you’re like me, then looking for cheap and natural alternatives is an absolute must. That’s why today I’m going to give you guys a recipe for a face mask for rosacea which you can do yourself at home and for next to nothing!

Here’s What You’ll Need

You should already have at least a few of these ingredients in your kitchen, but for the rest I promise you it won’t cost much. :-)

Here’s the list:

1. Natural Yogurt (make sure you DON’T use any of the flavored varieties)

2. Honey (best to use organic honey, but if you don’t have any, regular honey is fine)

3. Green tea (just regular green tea bags)

4. Apple cider vinegar (this one you may not have, but it should only cost around $5)

5. Oatmeal (plain oatmeal with no additional fruits or nuts)

Once you have all these ingredients, all you need to do is follow these instructions to prepare your face mask blend:

Step 1: Half fill a coffee mug with hot water and drop one green tea bag into the mug. Place the teabag into the mug and put it to the side for now to allow it to brew. You’ll know when it’s ready once it has cooled down to a lukewarm temperature.

Step 2: Next step is to grab your oatmeal and measure out 3 teaspoons and place them directly into a separate cup(NOT the mug that contains your green tea!).

Step 3: Time now for the natural yogurt. Exact same amount, so take 3 teaspoons and add them to the mixture.

Step 4: Honey comes next. This time we’re going to use half as much, so just add 1 and a half teaspoons to the mixture.

Step 5: Okay we’re almost there. Grab your apple cider vinegar and pour in 2 teaspoons.

Step 6: Grab the mug containing your green tea and we’re just going to measure out about 5 teaspoons, pouring them into the cup containing your mixture.

Step
7: Start mixing! Spend at least 2 minutes stirring the mixture using a fork for better results. Once it starts to turn into a white paste, you’ll know it’s ready. By the way, it’s not going to be the the nicest looking remedy, but trust me it works wonders!

Step 8: Now the fun part begins! You can use your fingers to apply the face mask, making your cover every part of your face and spend extra time ensuring your problem areas have the remedy lathered on nicely. After you’re done applying, wait around 15 minutes before completing the final step, which is...

Step 9: Grab yourself a wet face towel and remove the mask by dabbing softly all over your face. DO NOT wipe as that could cause further inflammation!

What You Can Expect

You’re most likely going to feel a tingling sensation, which is a perfectly normal effect caused mainly by the apple cider vinegar, which is the primary ingredient used to target your rosacea.

This ingredient is well known for having the ability to help regulate the PH of your skin, a common cause of many skin related issues. By improving the state of your skin, you can help reduce the severity of flareups throughout the day.

Almost instantly after removing the mask, you should start to notice some relief from your symptoms, with any redness you have subsiding generally about 10 minutes afterwards.

Don’t throw away the mix!

Just put some saran wrap over the top and place it into your refrigerator where you can use it later. The great thing about this mask is that you can literally use it everyday without the fear of potential inflammation occurring, something we all would love I’m sure.

Now it’s not going to heal your rosacea, but it certainly will offer you a nice amount of relief as you go about your day.

So what are you waiting for? Try out this face mask for rosacea today and start taking control over your symptoms. :-)
