I use cold toned milk to cleanse my face... Sometimes I leave it on for 15 minutes or more and then wash it off. I use toned milk since full fat milk makes my skin oily. Cold milk cleans my skin really well, and moisturizes it.
Cold milk does not irritate my skin. I have tried yoghurt but it does "feel" irritating on my skin. I haven't experienced any breakouts with yoghurt but it does seem to sting/irritate a bit (not sure why since I do not have hypersensitive skin)
Another tip: In my experience, cold water is a great toner. I have never used any other toner.
It's great to use very simple completely natural stuff, instead of lathering artificial ones. For me, cold milk and cold water can never go wrong.:)
