Naturally Clear News, Issue #004 -- November 2009
November 14, 2009
Hello Friends!

I'm sending a chilly "hello" to you today! I live in Central Oregon, USA and winter is fast approaching. Here in the high desert, our landscape is a juniper forest and gorgeous snow capped mountains.

We don't see many leaves turning color unless we drive into town, where people have planted their own trees that create pretty colored fall foliage!

I have been so busy I am having trouble remembering to do some extra cold weather moisturizing. Even my hair is getting dried out!

I hope that whatever your weather, that our newsletter can help you to take good care of your sensitive skin.

Let's get right to it, here are your updates, free gifts and free products for this month!

Healthy Hair Home Recipes of the Month

I found some simple and fun home recipes for your hair. Please Let me know how these work for you!

Olive Oil Honey Deep Conditioner

Place one part honey and two parts olive oil into a clean glass jar with a lid. Shake until it is completely blended. Then let it sit for three or four days, shaking once or twice a day to keep it blended.

When the mixture is done, rub it into your dry hair. Then put on a shower cap and let it set on your hair for one hour or more. Then shampoo, and enjoy lustrous, naturally shiny hair!

Natural Dry Shampoo

Too busy to do a full shampoo on your hair? Dust your hair with cornstarch and then brush it out. The cornstarch absorbs excess oil and dirt. This is best done with your head over the sink to catch the cornstarch, and is a great oily hair dry shampoo option!

Natural Volumizing Conditioner

As someone with thin, fine hair, I am always looking for ways to naturally add a little volume to hair. I learned this great tip!

Add natural, colorless henna to your hair conditioner to increase both the moisture and volume of your hair. I can't wait to try this! :-)

Natural Hair Gel

We've gotten several requests for a good hypoallergenic hair gel. I looked and looked, and haven't been able to find one that is free of fragrance, paraben free and also hypoallergenic. If you know of one, please let me know!

In the meantime, some people have found that natural, unflavored gelatin, dissolved in water and refrigerated makes a good, non-toxic hair gel. I don't use hair gel, but if you do, please let me know how it works for you!

November Free Products

Cleure, my favorite source of safe hypoallergenic products is giving away some free products this month. Check out their November Specials.

I Need Your Help

Thank you to everyone who has been writing in to let me know what you need more of! Two of the top requests are more skin care product reviews and more information on products for sensitive skin.

I need your help with this {!firstname_fix}, I can't do it alone. As you know, I looked for a loooong time to find products that worked for me. You already know which skin care products that I use.

Let's help everyone here to find something that will work for them! So, can you take a minute to let me know ....

What products do you use on your skin?

Tell us specifically what brand of sensitive skin care products you use, why you like them, and what has helped you most since using them!

It's OK if they aren't totally hypoallergenic or chemically safe, just let us know what works for you!

And, for the next few days, I'll send you a thank you gift! :-)

Free Gift

As a bonus for those of you who take some time to help your sensitive skin friends here, I will send you my new special report on healthy eating:

This report is part of a new eCourse I'm developing, in response to the requests I've been getting for more information on healthy eating.

I'm only making it available for three days! Yes, between now and November 18, I will be sending a copy of this report to everyone who shares What Skin Care Products Do You Use and Why?

The more information you can include, the more helpful it will be to others who are suffering from sensitive skin problems!

P.S. - To receive your free report, be sure to sign up for e-mail notification at the bottom of this page. Don't worry, you won't be added to any lists, this will just let me know where to send your free report.

Thanks so much!

I hope that you have a great weekend!

Best wishes,
