Drink half my body weight in water?

On your psoriasis page, you state:
"Drink at least half of your body weight in water each day. Water is essential for keeping the skin hydrated."
I don't think that can be correct. That sounds as if it could cause a lot of problems.
Our replyHi Deborah, thanks so much for alerting us to this inaccuracy on our
psoriasis shampoo page.
Yes, drinking half of one's body weight in water wouldn't be a good idea!! Our writers omitted an important piece of information in this article this which I have corrected.
Medical advice on drinking water varies quite a bit. Some doctors recommend 8 glasses of water per day. Others recommend that you only drink water when you are thirsty.
Naturopathic Doctors recommend drinking half your body weight
in ounces of water each day. For example, if you weight 150 pounds, they recommend drinking 75 ounces of water per day.
I hope this is helpful and thank you again for pointing this out to us!
