Products for African American hair?!

I am interested in buying your products. I am extremely allergic to literally EVERY hair conditioner I have ever tried. My allergy symptoms include not being able to breathe, swelling of the face and eyes, acne, and itchiness. I have tried hypoallergenic, fragrance free, and all organic products from every brand name you can think of and I have had no such luck! I am twenty years old and have battled with this issue my whole life. All extreme hypoallergic conditioners I have used that I end up not being allergic to such as the Free and Clear line are made for white hair. We NEED a line of hair products that are made for black hair for people with extreme allergy issues. I am black and white and have very curly hair, type 3c and 4a curls. I am very frustrated and am considering shaving my hair off... Is there any way you could help me find a product I could use in my hair? Thank you so much

Hi Naava, thank you for your message. Yes, I do understand your frustration!! Even though I have different hair problems, what I can relate to is that you've tried everything and can't find anything that is both non-irritating AND also helps your beautiful hair to look it's best!!

Yes, I do understand, as even so called hypoallergenic products may contain ingredients that
can be irritating to sensitive skin and hair. Our article on The Truth About Hypoallergenic Products has more information about why you may be reacting even to so called gentle or hypoallergenic conditioners for African American hair.

We don't personally manufacture skincare products however one of our affiliate partners makes a very gentle, toxin free shampoo and conditioner that I really love. It has never produced a breakout or skin reaction for anyone I know, and it works really well for African American hair.

The ***z-cleure-conditioner.shtml*** is free of the type of chemical irritants contained in all the other hypoallergenic products I have looked at. It has a short list of ingredients and is very effective at moisturizing hair without adding grease.

That being said, we are all unique and I know from firsthand experience that not all shampoos work the same for all people, so you will have to see if it works for you.

If their ***z-cleure-hypoallergenic-conditioner.shtml*** doesn't work for you they offer a money back guarantee.

I always recommend that you do a skin test first before using any new product, even if it is considered to be very safe and hypoallergenic. We each have very unique bodies and biochemistry and so it is best to try it on just a small area of your body rather than your whole head of hair. I hope you find a solution that works for you!
